When you are in contact with Board Companions - because you subscribe or participate in our activities, because you collaborate with us, or when you receive a communication - we collect certain personal data from you. We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. That is why we comply with laws and regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We would like to provide you with more information in this privacy statement.
What data does Board Companions collect from you?
When you are a participant in an activity
Board Companions keeps the following information when you register via our website: your first name, surname, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, and billing information if applicable. We need this information to register you and send you a confirmation via email. We will then send you the invoice (if applicable) via the billing address.
When you are a candidate Companion or a candidate Association
We collect the same data from you as from the participants.
If you are an association, we ask for the company number and address information of your organization.
We note your interests and preferences. This information is required for the preparation of intake interviews, and for the matching process between candidate Companions and candidate Associations.
What does Board Companions do with photos and videos?
Sometimes we take photos and videos during our activities. We may use these in our communications, website and social media. When you register for an activity, you can indicate whether or not we can take pictures of you and whether we can use these in our publications.
Who has access to your data?
Your data is stored in a secure database, to which only authorized Board Companions collaborators have access. We do not pass on your data to other parties unless this is legally required. There is one exception: if you participate in a training course, we will also provide the trainer with your details for the smooth running of the training.
How do we store your data?
Board Companions securely stores your data on servers in the EU.
We will keep your data for indefinite duration.
You have the right to inspect, change and delete your data in our database. You can ask us at any time to view, change or delete your data. You can send an email to info@Board Companions.be.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission, which monitors the protection of your privacy.
